The Lecture Series on Kokoro is an educational project of the KRC started in 2013 with the objective of establishing a learning space for motivated people working in the caregiving fields of medicine, welfare and education. The purpose of the lecture series is to deepen the understanding of human beings through lectures on new research findings / theories on the human mind, introductions to practical activities and discussions among participants. Occupations of the participants include teachers at elementary school, junior high, high school, special education teachers, occupational therapists, and clinical psychologists. It is expected that the Lecture Series on Kokoro will provide new guidelines for understanding ‘kokoro’ through learning about human development, communication and the adolescent mind.
