Professor Yoshinori Hiroi gave an educational lecture at the 79th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Public Health (2020)

Prof. Yoshinori Hiroi gave an educational lecture at the 79th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Public Health (JSPH) on October 20th, 2020.

JSPH was established in 1947 and Yuichi Imanaka (Professor, Kyoto University) is the president of the society. They have approximately 8,800 members today. The theme of this year’s meeting was“Creating the Future in Health, Medical Care and Nursing Care: Social Joint Venture (Social Collaboration)”.

In light of the unprecedented declining birthrate and aging society, this year’s Annual Meeting called for cross-sectoral cooperation among industry, local and national governments, academia, professionals and local people. It is also positioned as the forum for cutting-edge interaction at the frontier of health policy, practice and research.

The meeting was scheduled to be held at the “Miyako Messe” convention center, but took place online in response to current conditions surrounding  the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prof. Hiroi gave an educational lecture entitled “A Sustainable Welfare Society: Post-Corona Social Concept and the Society Design under Turning Population Decline” (October 20th, 13:00 – 14:00).
