Dr. Konakawa Gave a Presentation at Dr. Giegerich’s Dream Analysis Seminar, with Prof. Kawai as a Commentator

Dr. Hisae Konakawa gave a presentation at Dr. Giegerich’s Dream Analysis Seminar, which was held on February 19 and 20, 2019. Prof. Toshio Kawai acted as a commentator.

The seminar was held by the Jungian psychologist, Dr. Giegerich and aims to contribute to the understanding of experiential approaches to using dreams in psychotherapy. It has been held annually in collaboration with Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Education. Prof. Kawai, Assoc. Prof. Yasuhiro Tanaka and Dr. Giegerich have acted as commentators.

Dream analysis is core technique in Jungian psychology. Dr. Giegerich argues that in dream analysis treatment, rather than linking the dreams to real events and family dynamics, it is instead important to re-experience the events in the dream and take in how you felt with your senses while dreaming.
