Hidefumi Hitokoto

Hidefumi Hitokoto  |  Assistant Professor  |  Psychology of emotion, Cultural psychology

I study the relationship between social emotion and culture. I have been focusing on the cultural nature of happiness, as well as self-conscious emotions that arise from everyday interpersonal relationships. Recently, I extend my studies to understand about the happiness in other East Asian cultures, spacial and temporal variation and change of culture, and the functional relationship between individual and culture.
