Saori Tsukamoto

Saori Tsukamoto  |  JSPS Research Fellow(PD)  |  Social Psychology

"Categorization" is one of our strategies to make sense of the multilayered world. By doing so, we are able to claim our identities and/or predict behavior of strangers. My research has focused on revealing the underlying psychological processes of categorization, especially concerning the consequences of perceiving ethnic / racial categories as fixed entities. My recent interests include the roles of cultures in sharing and maintaining information about in-group values.
