My research interest originally focused on mechanisms of speech by investigating speech errors produced by healthy adults and speech by patients with aphasia. Recently, I have been involved in research on the relationship between speech communication and cognitive function among elderly people and patients with dementia. I would like to study the relationship between the recognition of facial expression and cognitive function during communication by elderly people.
