Keishi Saeki  |  Contemporary Civilization Theory, Contemporary Social Theory, and Social Idea Studies


Dr. Saeki’s areas of research expertise are symbiotic civilization studies, contemporary civilization theory, contemporary social theory, and social idea studies.
He was awarded the Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities for his book Hidden Thinking in 1985. He was awarded the Tobata Memorial Prize for The End of Americanism in 1994. He was awarded the Yomiuri Shimbun Prize for Modern Japanese Liberalism in 1997, and the Justice Grand Prix in 2007. Dr. Saeki works extensively as a critic in the fields of economy and politics.
