Shinsuke Shimojo  |  Perceptual Psychology, Cognitive Neuro Science

Shimojo Psychophysics laboratory has been focusing on a variety of topics such as; visual perception and its neural correlates, multisensory interactions and plasticity, emotion and decision making, and non-invasive modulation of the alert human brain. While we continue to examine the dynamic/adaptive nature of human visual perception – including it’s crossmodal, representational, sensory-motor, developmental, emotional, and neurophysiological aspects, we continue our research on “Implicit Brain Functions” and “Interpersonal Implicit Communication” supported by JST (Japan Science and Technology Corporation). In these projects, we focus on implicit cognitive processes, emotional decision making, social communication, plasticity, and their neural correlates.
