Professor Komura specializes in making the invisible entity of kokoro visible via the framework of systems biology. His research unravels the workings of the brain using neuroscientific, clinical psychological, and computational methods. The purpose of his research is to shed light on aspects of the mind, such as consciousness, intention, motivation, inference, metacognition, and socialization. From neurons to neural circuits to behavior, we connect the data of different hierarchies.
