Prof. Hiroi Appears on NHK’s “Point of Discussion, Point of View”

Prof. Yoshinori Hiroi appeared on the NHK show, “Point of Discussion, Point of View” (ETV 2/6/19 13:50-14:00, Rerun on NHK 2/7/19 4:20-4:30).
According to his discussion, “The future of Japanese society as predicted by AI”, if situations and policies do not change, there is a high probability that in 2050, the situation Japan will face will be “catastrophic” rather than the “sustainable”.
Introducing an AI-based simulation and policy proposals using AI, Prof. Hiroi discussed a “locally-decentralized model” that will lead to more sustainable levels of population, economic disparity, health and happiness.
He proposed how Japan can re-direct itself, referring to examples from Germany and the young generation in Japan as “locally oriented”.
