Professor Sakiko Yoshikawa – Memorial Retirement Lecture
International Symposium, Kokoro Research Center, Kyoto University “The Three Faces of Psychological Science”

This international symposium will feature the final lecture by Professor Sakiko Yoshikawa, who served as the first director of Kokoro Research Center, Kyoto University. The symposium will also include invited lectures from psychologist Dr. Vicki Bruce (Professor, Newcastle University, UK), a noted researcher in face processing research, and Yves Gineste (Director, Gineste-Marescotti Institute), the founder of the multisensory communication care technique known as “Humanitude.”

The theme of symposium is “The Face, Facial Processing Research and Communication,” a topic that Prof. Yoshikawa has been working on for many years. We will discuss three aspects of psychological science (basic research, interdisciplinary research, and practical research) and attempts to connect them.
