Kokoro Research Center Cognitive Science Seminar
Kyoto University Kokoro Research Center
Cognitive Science Seminar
Speaker: Dr. Shinsuke Suzuki (Tohoku University Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences)
Topic: Computational and neural mechanisms underlying social decision-making: Its foundation and social contagion
In modern cognitive neuroscience, it’s believed that humans calculate the value of each choice in the brain when making a decision. However, it’s not well known how it’s done. In this seminar, Prof. Suzuki will discuss his research on how the brain calculates the value of the food and how the computation of value is influenced by social factors.
