One of the things that the COVID-19 outbreak has revealed is the vulnerability and risks of the centralized system This situation may provide an opportunity for urban-to-rural migration. In the near future, we may see a change in the relationship between people and the natural environment, or even people and wildlife. In this project, we envision society and the ecological environment that will be opened up during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, based on a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective.
By learning about the physiology, ecology, and social relationships of wild animals, we will gain hints for countermeasures against infectious diseases in human society.
