In this discussion, first, a detailed introduction to sandplay therapy is presented in terms of its techniques and expressions. Then, Prof. Kawai discusses diagnosing a client through sandplay work and important perspectives through which to interpret sandplay work based on his clinical practices. In addition, he not only discusses the current development of sandplay therapy in relation to culture, but also states that creating sandplay work is effective when approaching patients with physical illnesses and when intervening following crises such as natural disasters.
