A Kokoro Seminar Series on Thoughts entitled “Contemplating Japanese Thought and Culture” is being held by Professor Keishi Saeki.
In the 2019 fall semester Kokoro Seminar Series on Thoughts, we were thinking about Japanese thought and culture as well as the last year.
Western thought and Western science have been influential in the intellectual world of the post-war Japan. However, there is a deferent way of thinking at the bottom of Japanese thought and culture from those of the West, which seems to have been the underlying tone of the way of thinking and the sensitivity of “Japanese people.”
This time too, we had opportunities to invite guest lecturers to discuss this issue. We will report the details later.
