As in the previous year, a Kokoro Special Lecture Series on Thoughts will be held. Twice-yearly four or five consecutive lectures and two additional lectures open to the public are planned. (The subtitle is “Contemplating ‘Modern Civilization’: Looking Back on the Beginning of the 20th Century.”)
The objective is to discuss current situations of modern society as issues of “modern civilization” with the attendees (new researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students, in particular) and to raise awareness in society. We expect this lecture series to provide new researchers, students, and the general public with an opportunity to perceive and examine issues they are facing today.
