Small-group sessions for young researchers, graduate students, and students will be held four times during the first semester (May-July), followed by a lecture for the general public in the main conference room. The same structure will occur in the second semester (October-December).
The theme of the first semester will be the underlying problems of our society, looking back on the social situation at the beginning of the 20th century. Various aspects of these problems will be deepened during discussions.
The second semester will mainly focus on Japanese society. Aspects of the Japanese spirit and culture, including historical perspectives, will be discussed in order to explore the nature of the Japanese Kokoro. In some cases, lecturers from outside of the university will be invited.
