Modern advances in science, technology and the global economy have brought significant changes that have never been experienced by humans before. The Kyoto Kokoro Initiative, which was launched in April 2015, takes into consideration the wide and deep nuances of the Japanese word “kokoro” and discusses how society can enrich kokoro by focusing on how it confronts increasingly complex issues. We would like to propose a new perspective for kokoro towards the world.
