Dr. Allison Yamanashi-Leib (UC Berkeley) Gave a Lecture
Dr. Yamanashi-Leib (University of California, Berkeley) conducted international collaborative research project with Dr. Yoshiyuki Ueda (Senior Lecturer) as one of the KRC’s 2019 Open Application Project.
She stayed from April 4th to April 18, 2019 for her research entitled, “Cross Cultural Ensemble Perception”.
Dr. Yamanashi-Leib gave a lecture, “Human Visual Perception of Complex, Vibrant Environments” on April 16th. She discussed “ensemble perception”, which refers to the visual system’s ability to extract summary statistical information from groups of objects. The lecture presented basic research on “ensemble perception” as well as her research. The session included a Q&A session.
